The temperature was pretty high today, Artemis couldn't think of a better and sunnier day than today. She looked around in the market at the moment while observing all the cute things around it. It had its own natural beauty somehow. And the good thing was that it didn't look odd in any way she could think off.
Missy looked around the market and let her eyes catch on the melons. They were huge, bigger then last years catch. '' good morning. '' She said with a fabulous smile towards the farmer. He greeted her back and talked about how terrible he found the english language. She nodded, she found english hard to understand, '' I'm sorry, Its difficult indeed. '' she said with a nod and bought three melons.
the old elf mumbled about youngsters and she sighed walking away. She placed her basket on the ground and sat down on a small bench. She couldn't help but thinking of humans being good people , some even hunt down the elves but they always die when they try. Artemis yawned and smiled looking at the elves buying their food for the whole week. Artemis wasn't rich enough to afford so much food, but she didn't have a family of her own to need it either.
She was scared of having family, relatives that needs your attention as much as a lover wants it. Its hard to keep up the tracks, and she sure didn't need those problems now. Missy wasn't as heartless as some here were. The humans had a big impact on their lives, they wanted everything they had, the powers, the weapons, everything that made them special.
Artemis sighed and got on her feet. She was happy Raven wasn't one of those magical people who just liked to hurt others because their kind had to rule the world. It was unfair and sick to think about. Artemis couldn't see him killing her because she was an elf. Missy walked over to a stand and smiled. '' Three apples please. '' she said and grabbed some coins to pay with.

It had to be sunny somewhere in the world, and that somewhere was Hallowthorn. Not exactly known to be busting with Angels, but they were allowed there. Gabriella almost skipped into the main artery of the Market, purse in hand. A bright, friendly smirk played at the edges of her lips. The market was hustling and bustling with elves buying foods and goods for their week.
The crisp scent coming from the fruit stand was too enticing for Gabby to pass up on. Strolling up to the stand she put her finger on her lips, her eyes scanning the plentiful fruit laid upon the slanted table. "Any recommendations?" She smiled at the elderly elf managing the stand. Gabriella glanced to her right to where a girl just ordered apples. "Ooh, are they fresh?" The elf nodded a little. "I'll have one for the road." She picked one from the bottom of the pile, sending the rest tumbling to the floor. "Oh, oh my goodness."
Gabby covered her mouth with her hands, her brows drawing together sheepishly The whole Market came to a pause. "I am so...so sorry!" She dug into her purse for some coins to cover the cost of the apples and more. "I'm so sorry...." Gabriella apologized again. She kneeled down picking up the bruised apples. "So...embarrassing...." She mumbled under her breath.

Missy handed over the coins for the apples and smiled friendly. She placed the apples in her basket and smiled brightly. A young girl also came by the apple stand and Artemis looked over to the elf saleslady. the girl was no elf so automatically the woman became cautious. And for a second Artemis wanted to turn around and just walk away letting those humans be who they are but this girl grabbed a few apples from the bottom and dropped the rest.
Artemis knew she had to help the girl and ran over to her holding everyone from a distance. '' Tampa! '' she spoke as everyone came to a halt. '' now people we can fix this without violence towards our guest. '' Artemis spoke in a calm voice. She sat down on her knees and smiled towards the girl. '' It's okay leave it. '' she said and placed her hand on the girl's when she dug into her purse for more money.
Artemis looked at the saleswoman who gave an angry look. Artemis faced the apples again. '' lietha guldur'' she mumbled as the apples flew in the air cleaning themsleves up and placed themsleves on their rightful place. '' Amin hiraetha'' she spoke and took the girl away from the stand. '' you okay? these elves are old, they don't like humans much. '' Artemis shrugged gave the girl her apples.
Artemis wasn't a bad person at all, she loved humans as much as she loved elf people. '' Welcome by the way. We don't get many visitors, and every visitor of the kingdom is a guest. '' Artemis said with a smile. Elves were proud of their existance and they showed respect for other kinds to show it.

Her cheeks flushed a deep red as Gabby scrambled to pick up the apples. She glanced up to see the girl helping her. "Thanks..." She smiled sheepishly. "I'm such a klutz..." She shook her head despairingly. "I want to." She stood up placing the last of the apples she had in her arms back on the stand.
Suddenly the rest of the apples flew back onto the stand. Gabriella cast a bewildered glance at the girl. "Impressive." She smirked crookedly. Turning to the clerk, she bowed her head and placed the coins in his hand. "Please, accept this as payment for my foolishness." The tight-lipped elf resentfully nodded. Switching her glance back to the girl, who automatically thought she was a human.
She grinned and pulled her to the side where there were less eyes prying them. "I'm fine, thanks to you." She said with a grateful tone and thanking eyes. "But..." She quickly flicked her eyes from side to side "I'm not a human...well, technically I was..." She widened her smirk, Gabby's eyes studying the girl's features for a reaction. "I'm an angel." She almost whispered.
Gabriella guided the girl to a table and sat down. "I'm Gabby, what's your name?" She tilted her head a little with curiosity. "I feel like a complete idiot..." She chuckled, running her fingers through her wavy hair. "I hope I didn't offend anyone.." Gabby would feel so bad if she did. No matter where she went, she was sure to respect all cultures an people and not start trouble.

Missy took one of her own apples and took a bite feeling the juice already filling up her mouth. Best apples of the season, she had to admit that. Her eyes moved to the human and she smiled. '' no thanks, some elves prefer their pride above their kindness or hospitality. '' she chuckled and took another bite. Artemis got curious when the girl said she was not human. Or how she said she []was a human.
She raised a brow and looked at her. Almost choking in her apple when she heard the word angel artemis coughed like hell. '' Ed' i'ear ar' elenea!'' she called out and fell from the bench. '' you're kidding me right? '' she answered back and looked up at the so called angel. An angel? for real? in their kingdom? Its like a really weird dream!
Missy got up on her feet and wiped the sand off her close. '' I- I'm Artemis. '' she said smiling brightly. Artemis sat down next to her again and chuckled. '' Well right now there is someone clumsier than me! '' she said with a smile and shook her head. '' no i don't think you did. They'd probably mumble a bit but nothing more than that. '' she said with a shrug.

She watched with alarm how the girl yelled out some elf language and fell off of the bench. "Oh!" Gabriella quickly stood up and helped the elf back onto the bench. "Sorry if I frightened you! I won't hurt you!" When the elf girl; known as Artemis now- sat back down Gabby was relieved that the girl was in light spirits. She laughed with Artemis. "Yes, I suppose so!" She smiled brightly.
"Well...that's a relief. I hate being bothersome to people." Gabriella bit her lip nervously. "I come down here-- I mean from the sky, and shop a little. Mostly for some yarn for knitting and fruits for my chamber." She gazed around at the magical place. It really was a lovely atmosphere. The sun peaked through the trees like a curious child. Gabby switched her glance back at Missy. "I'm sorry. I do that sometimes...go off into my own little world..." She trailed off casting her glance downward, almost in shame.

Artemis thought of how it would be to be around an angel a lot when she was alone in her room hiding from her brother's commands. How it would be to talk to an angel for real, even if they actually exists! And now she sat right in front of one, a real angel! And all she could say was that the angel was very human for an angel. Artemis was not one of those wise elves so she didn't really knew much about angels but an angel like this would probably not show up twice.
Artemis laughed a little and shook her head. '' trust me, you're not bothering anyone. Its so amazing that you're an angel, I've never met one, but i guess you noticed that before. '' Artemis said with a blush and a chuckle. She really wasn't used to angel presence and she didn't know how they lived or anything. Artemis smiled and looked over to the fruits. '' oh if you love fruits you have to try the melons! '' she said and pointed at the melon stand.

The angel smiled courteously. "Well, I'm not surprised you didn't know i'm an angel, you see..." Gabby paused for effect. "Our wings turn invisible for 24 hours when we go somewhere that angels aren't exactly known to be." She shrugged. "It's a pain in the butt that I can't stretch out my wings but...you gotta sacrifice some comfort sometimes."
Gabriella spoke in a slightly hushed tone so her confession wasn't broadcasted to the whole elf community. "This place is so magical. How was it to grow up in a place like this?!" She scanned her gaze across the whole market. It was such a unique place. Gabby nodded as the elf suggested the melons.
"They smell amazing. I'll pick one up on my way out." She glanced back at the elderly elf standing at the fruits. "Hopefully I wont completely humiliate myself the second time around." She chuckled. Gabby can be so clumsy sometimes-- no... all the time. Most of the time being clumsy would get her into trouble. Gaelin was the one who would warn her to be careful, but without him she was on her own. The snowy owl was back at her room, he didn't feel like coming with her this time.

Artemis got curious often but with an angel around it wouldn't be weird to get curious at all. yet she behaved like any normal being and tried not to freak out twice. The angel spoke of the pain and the wings she had to hide. Well that was pretty obvious they were hidden, but Artemis might have something against the pain. Artemis understood pain could be terrible, but someone sacrificing it for being on earth sounded only like a good and curious soul.
Artemis grabbed a piece of parchment and wrote down her home address. If you got a lot of that pain come see me, I studied medicine. she smiled and gave the angel the piece of parchment. Well this place is amazing it really is, its one of the safest place around. No one dares to enter these grounds mostly because no one can find it. As an elf you get a life guarantee. the give you a talisman, which is actually jewelry that protects you from disease or aging. she spoke softly and showed the angel her necklace.
being an elf had its positive sides, not being able to die was one of those sides. before my mother died she told me the story of the old elf princess who gave up her talisman and eternal life to be with the man she loved. I never understood the story, and sometimes i still don't. But i grew up with the story and its developments through time. I always looked forward to meet a man , human and live the same life. Though the man i met and love isn't human people still forbid me to see him. she said and smiled anyways.
Artemis chuckled and gave the angel one of her melons. Here, take one of mine. After all I'll be here longer than you. she said friendly.

The angel cocked an eyebrow slightly. The elf seemed so young to be practicing medicine. Gabriella was impressed. "It's usually not painful, unless I press my body up against the chair." She said resting her elbows on the table. "Thank-you though. I'll be sure to come to you if I need anything." She smiled gratefully, taking the piece of parchment. The elf told her of an old story, the whole time her eyes were locked on hers. To give up eternal living for the one you love. How romantic? "That's a lovely story. What a beautiful talisman." Gab nodded. Although she didn't have anyone in her life right now, She hoped eventually someone would come along. If it took some risks, she would take them. Learning of Artemis' forbidden love, Gabriella frowned slightly. She would hate it if she had to be torn away from someone she loved dearly. "That's terrible..." She said in a crestfallen tone. It was curious. Even though it was sad, the elf kept smiling. Gabby considered herself a cheerful person...most of the time, but if she was in Artemis' position she would definitely not be smiling. Opening her mouth, she was about to say something but decided it wasn't her place to say it...They had only just met and were practically strangers. Instead, when the elf offered her a melon; she simply smiled. "Thank-you. You are too kind." Putting the melon to her nose, she inhaled the sweet, crisp and fresh scent of the fruit. "I can't wait to try it." It was a well-known fact elves were excellent crop growers. [/blockquote]

Artemis missed the ability to see raven without taking risks of being banned. But if they were in her position they'd definitely do the same. But Artemis somehow didn't feel like it was a bad thing, Elves were highly protected creatures these days, they were easy to hunt down but better hunters. Artemis was not a good hunter, she was more the clumsy type who had to be watched carefully.
Her eyes moved to the angel. I'll keep you to it. These days lots of people need help to survive. You should be glad you're in heaven. she spoke friendly and sat back looking at the elves. Some with tight expressions, like something terrible was about to happen to them. It was not a good sign seeing them this way but the Elves were being threatened ever since the stories came in.
The story about the actual king of Adrenolus having an affair with the vampire queen. It wasn't a good plan, giving himself to her, she was a bad person and everyone knew that. Thank you, I'm treasuring it with my life. As soon as an elf dies the talisman becomes worthless, useless. she spoke softly and smiled none the less. She didn't think it was bad that talismans survive as long as an elf, it made a connection.
With a chuckle she looked at the angel and the melon. Well enjoy it, its one of the most popular fruits and quickly sold out in a day. Artemis noded and smiled.
